Knud Elmo Knudsen involuntarily in DK
Missionary Knud Elmo Knudsen, who has been sent to Tanzania for a longer periode by the Moravian Mission i Denmark (BDM) came involuntarily to Denmark on the 21. of July 2017.
The reason is that Knudsen has been told to leave the country by the Tanzanian authorities. The reasons considered by BDM, church and business partners to be completely unjustified is that Knudsen should have acted in contradiction with the country's laws.
This should have happened when he was engaged in sending Congolese refugees to a refugee camp in Kigoma, Tanzania at the request of international authorities in the year 2000.
BDM and the Moravian Church in Tanzania are working to clarify the situation and hope that Knudsen will return to Tanzania as soon as possible. Meanwhile, responsibility for the work is handed over to missionaries Marjo Ten Kate and Bert Muizebelt, Kipili.
